SNORE presents McKenzie's Rage at the River each December bringing more than 400 racers with hundreds of support staff and fans to this small river town. At the heart of the event is two days of desert off road racing with seven heats for Stock Full, Stock Bug and Trophy Lite. Other events on Friday leading up to the racing action include the Fun Run and the Tech/Contingency Row. When SNORE officers went hunting for a new home nine years ago, they found their luck was in Laughlin. Tech Director Bill Shapley has been a part of SNORE for many years, and he's amazed at the total amount of entries for the Laughlin event. "I have never seen this many cars for this race," said Shapley, who has been tech director for the past 20 years. "There are strong fields in each class. Everyone loves Laughlin and the amount of entries is proof of that. It's going to be a madhouse with race cars everywhere." The weekend concludes with an awards presentation Sunday night.
